Job summary

Element Deeside invites an experienced Team Leader to guide the Organics Department in a high-volume analytical lab. You will manage day-to-day operations, train staff, and collaborate with Laboratory Managers, suppliers and engineers to maintain efficiency and data quality.

You will drive safety, quality, and delivery performance, mentoring staff while supporting continuous improvement and lean practices within the department.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience in a commercial analytical laboratory.
• 4+ years in a laboratory environment.
• Competence with analytical instrumentation.
• Strong leadership and training skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Lead and develop the organics team, coordinating workload and training.
• Collaborate with Laboratory Managers, suppliers and engineers to ensure smooth operation.
• Ensure samples are processed with correct traceability using LIMS/Web Manager.
• Drive continuous improvement in lead time and on-time delivery.
• Adhere to UKAS ISO17025 and MCERTS quality standards and procedures.
