Job summary

Dr Khuroo'S Practice in Birmingham is seeking a Practice Nurse to deliver patient‑centred nursing care within the general practice team. You will support GPs, Practice staff and PCN colleagues, providing chronic disease management, immunisations, health checks and quality governance.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care nursing.
• Immunisation and vaccination training.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage own caseload.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT literacy and experience with clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide chronic disease management reviews (diabetes, asthma/COPD, hypertension, CVD).
• Carry out treatment room duties: wound care, ear irrigation, ECGs, urinalysis, cervical screening if trained.
• Deliver immunisations and vaccinations (childhood, travel, seasonal flu, COVID-19).
• Conduct health checks and lifestyle advice (smoking cessation, weight management).
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in audits and governance.
• Work closely with GPs, HCA, admin and PCN colleagues; support team development.
• Maintain NMC registration, complete CPD and annual appraisal.
