The Partners of Hartshill Medical Centre are seeking to appoint a highly driven, reliable and enthusiastic leader to the role of Practice Manager. Hartshill Medical Centre is a successful GP practice providing excellent clinical care to a list size of 8000 in a purpose-built building. We have excellent QOF achievements annually and were recertified as “Good” by the CQC in 2025.
We are a five-partner practice with an advanced clinical practitioner, nursing team, health care team and reception team. We have historically had a very low staff turnover, with many members of the team staying for over 30 years. The partners are looking for someone to embrace our traditional values of providing ‘family doctor’ style medicine and looking after our team as well as driving the practice forwards.
The Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in the leadership, operational management and strategic development of the practice. Their role is in short to manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality, human resources, finance, premises management and health and safety. The practice manager will lead on compliance and organisational improvement.
The role is full time and permanent with a salary based on experience. The manager will have 6 weeks leave per year, as well as statutory bank holiday and access to the NHS pension scheme.
Key responsibilities will include operational management, workforce leadership, financial planning and performance, regulatory compliance, strategic development, contract management and supporting the partners in delivering high-quality patient care.
