Practice Manager

An exciting and rare opportunity has become available for a Practice Manager to join our well-established practice, Portway Dental Care in Wantage, Oxfordshire.

This vacancy offers an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate. You'll be working in the longest established dental practice in the beautiful market town of Wantage. The practice is located in the ground floor of a historic house, featuring unique elements such as a beautiful Victorian Stain Glass Front Door. The team is friendly and collaborates to create a caring atmosphere for patients. Parking is available at the practice, and the 'Olde Worlde' town centre is just a five-minute walk away.

Portway Dental Care is a reputable 4-surgery practice, with a highly skilled and friendly team dedicated to delivering first-class patient care. We are looking forward to welcoming a new Dental Nurse to our team.

Our Practice Managers are responsible for providing leadership to practice colleagues (Associates and Employed staff), ensuring patient-centric care, driving practice growth, increasing revenue opportunities, and managing the day-to-day financial and logistical operations of the practice.

We welcome applications from candidates with management experience within a dental setting. Experience in healthcare or commercial sectors (retail/hospitality) will also be considered.

• Strong business and team leadership skills
• Commercially astute; sales, target, and KPI driven
• Empathetic, understanding, and attentive listener
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient satisfaction
• Friendly and welcoming demeanor
• Team-oriented with enthusiasm
• CQC registered and compliant
• Knowledgeable in CQC standards and compliance management
• Experience in practice maintenance and marketing within set budgets
• Proficient in health and safety management and dental compliance
• GDC registered, capable of handling receptionist and nursing duties as needed
• Willing to undertake other reasonable responsibilities
