Job summary

Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Practice Development Lead or Deputy Lead Mammographer to join the Doncaster & Bassetlaw Breast Team. The role combines mammography with film reading, interventional biopsies and breast ultrasound across three sites, including a new static screening unit, with mentoring and service development responsibilities.

Qualifications

• DCR or BSc in diagnostic radiography.
• Post graduate award in mammography practice.
• UK ENIC statement of comparability.
• Evidence of relevant CPD and courses.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography across symptomatic and breast screening clinics.
• Carry out film reading, interventional biopsies and breast ultrasound.
• Develop the service and manage change.
• Mentor and support new staff.
• Organise departmental workload across locations.
• Prioritise workload and work under pressure.
• Practise autonomously as a mammographer.
• Travel to satellite sites.
• Handle confrontational or emotional situations.
• Motivate others and build good working relationships.
• Contribute to quality assurance and audit.
