Job summary

InHealth Group’s Surrey and North East Hampshire breast screening service seeks a consultant mammographer to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care and to mentor junior radiographers. You will work closely with radiologists and contribute to teaching and research activities.

The post is senior, full-time, supporting the screening director and deputy, with autonomous practice across advanced mammography pillars and involvement in KPI governance and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration or eligible for registration.
• Postgraduate award in mammography at master’s level.
• Certificate of Competence in Mammography required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based, patient-focused breast screening.
• Provide direct clinical care to women screened and assessed by the SNEH BSS, working autonomously alongside radiologists.
• Support the screening director and deputy director within the service's senior leadership.
• Attend meetings and study days in the absence of the director of screening.
• Support management of service KPIs with the senior leadership teams.
• Attend SMT meetings in the absence of clinical leadership.
• Lead and mentor junior advanced practitioner radiographers, and develop other team members.
• Teach on training centre courses and take part in research activities.
• Contribute to meeting service demand, including active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.
