Job summary

Newcastle Hospitals seeks a motivated Mammographer to join the Breast Imaging Team. Role supports screening and symptomatic services with progression from Band 5 to Band 6 upon successful completion of Mammographic Studies and in-house competencies within 6–18 months.

Band 6 may involve community work on breast screening trailers; driving licence and car ownership are essential. HCPC registration and a radiography degree are required, with a postgraduate mammography qualification highly

Qualifications

• DCR or BSc in Radiography is required.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Post-graduate Certificate in Mammographic Studies is required or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Breast Screening and Assessment Centre based at the RVI, supporting screening, assessment and symptomatic services.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent Radiographer to deliver high-quality radiographic services and maintain professional relationships.
