Pertemps Northampton is recruiting a Footwear Testing Technician in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The role involves performing physical testing on footwear, materials and components to ensure quality and performance, in a practical lab setting.

Full training is provided, making it suitable for candidates with lab experience or those starting a career in product testing. Expect a competitive salary, 37.5 hours per week and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science.
• Good IT skills, including Word and Excel.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine physical testing of footwear, materials and components.
• Follow established testing procedures and health & safety guidelines.
• Accurately recording and reporting test results.
• Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and testing facilities.
• Support continuous improvement activities in the lab.
• Keep training and quality records up to date.
• Meet deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the testing team.
