Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains is recruiting a Technical Buyer based in Milton Keynes to drive procurement for Power Unit components and manage key supplier relationships. You will ensure timely, cost-efficient sourcing to support advanced motorsport projects and tight project deadlines.

The role requires experience with low-volume, high-complexity components and the ability to interpret technical drawings. You will work in a fast-paced, innovative environment with a strong focus on quality and cost

Qualifications

Experience procuring low-volume, high-complexity mechanical, electrical and composite components.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
Creative, proactive problem-solving and process improvement.
Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Manage the procurement process for designated Power Unit components to meet team needs.
Identify suitable suppliers from the RBPT-approved base, place orders and negotiate quality, delivery and price.
Expedite component progress and address potential delays using manufacturing experience.
Identify capacity shortfalls and source new solutions for future demand.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships with accurate data in the manufacturing system.
Support budget planning and cost monitoring for the department.
Be a focal point of support and advice on procurement matters.
Work efficiently and independently to meet tight deadlines.
Contribute to continuous improvements and innovation in procurement processes.
