Job summary
Speedy Hire is seeking an experienced Powered Access Engineer for our Newport depot. You will service, repair and refurbish our powered access fleet, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and ready to hire.
This hands-on role involves fault diagnosis across electrical and hydraulic systems and close collaboration with the depot team. You will read electrical/hydraulic drawings, maintain documentation and uphold high health & safety standards while delivering excellent customer service at a busy
Qualifications
- Experience with powered access equipment and related maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding across electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Able to read electrical and hydraulic drawings and interpret maintenance manuals.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing powered access equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Carrying out refurbishment work and preparing equipment for hire.
- Inspecting equipment and identifying required repairs.
- Estimating repair requirements accurately.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic drawings.
- Ensuring equipment meets safety and quality standards.
- Completing service and maintenance documentation.
- Working with the depot team to ensure availability for customers.
