Job summary
Speedy Hire in Wellington is seeking an experienced Powered Access Engineer to join our depot team. This hands-on role covers servicing, maintaining and repairing powered access equipment, diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults, and preparing gear for hire.
You will read electrical and hydraulic drawings, ensure safety and quality standards, complete service documentation and work with the depot team to keep equipment available.
Qualifications
- Previous engineering experience with powered access equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings.
- Commitment to health and safety.
- CAP registration would be an advantage, but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing powered access equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Completing refurbishment work and preparing equipment for hire.
- Carrying out inspections and identifying required repairs.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic drawings.
- Ensuring equipment meets safety and quality standards.
- Completing service and maintenance documentation.
- Working with the depot team to ensure equipment is available.
- Maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment.
