Job summary

Speedy Group in Tamworth is seeking an experienced Powered Access Engineer to join our depot-based engineering team. You’ll keep the powered access fleet safe, reliable and ready for hire, working on equipment from leading manufacturers.

You’ll service, maintain and repair gear, read electrical/hydraulic drawings, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A strong focus on accuracy and continuous development is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in powered access engineering or similar environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings.
• Attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing powered access equipment.
• Refurbishing equipment ready for hire.
• Fault finding and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues.
• Carrying out inspections and safety checks.
• Identifying and estimating repairs required.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic drawings.
• Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records.
