Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in Wellington is seeking an experienced Powered Access Engineer to service, repair and refurbish our powered access fleet at the depot. This hands-on role is focused on safety, reliability and readiness for hire, ensuring equipment is available when customers need it.

You will fault-find across electrical and hydraulic systems, read electrical and hydraulic drawings, and carry out inspections and documentation.

Qualifications

Experience with powered access equipment
Fault-finding across electrical and hydraulic systems
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings
CAP registration would be an advantage

Responsibilities

Servicing, maintaining and repairing powered access equipment
Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults
Completing refurbishment work and preparing equipment to go back on hire
Carrying out inspections and identifying required repairs
Accurately estimating repair requirements
Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic drawings
Ensuring equipment meets safety and quality standards
Completing relevant service and maintenance documentation
Working closely with the wider depot team to ensure equipment is available when our customers need it
Maintaining a safe, organised and professional workshop environment
