Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Power System Engineer to design and develop the electricity transmission network from Warwick, ensuring safe, reliable operation and compliance with industry standards.

You’ll perform power system modelling, analysis and studies using tools like DIgSILENT, PSCAD, and Python, and work with customers to enable connection projects and integration of HVDC, FACTS and renewables.

Qualifications

• You’ll have a strong understanding of power system fundamentals and studies.
• You’ll be experienced with power factor and OLTA studies to identify issues.
• You’ll know industry codes such as SQSS, CUSC and Grid Code.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the electricity transmission system for safe, reliable operation.
• Carry out power system modelling and analysis studies including load flow and fault level.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on connections and integration of HVDC, FACTS and renewables.
