Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking enthusiastic Connections Technicians for the Domestic and Small BusinessConnections team across depots. You will quote and deliver LV connections, design routes, and manage contractor workstreams to meet timelines and budgets.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and project management skills, plus GCSEs in Maths/English and IT proficiency. A valid UK driving licence is essential, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

Customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience with electrical testing on domestic/industrial equipment.
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple projects.
Experience coordinating with contractors and managing budgets.
Strong communication across internal and external stakeholders.
GCSE Maths and English at grade C/5 or above.
Proficient IT skills across MS Word and Excel.
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Manage customer experience through quotation and delivery of connections works.
Design cost-effective connection routes from site information.
Plan and coordinate with contractors to deliver LV projects on time and within budget.
Liaise with service providers to ensure resources are in place.
Ensure project delivery meets quality, safety and business objectives.
Provide timely updates on workstream progress and reporting.
Carry out remedial work to ensure 10/10 customer experience.
