Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking enthusiastic Connections Technicians to join our Domestic and Small Business Connections team. You will work from depots across the operating area, coordinating with contractors to deliver LV connection projects and maintain high customer service standards.

The role requires strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, with flexibility to attend evening or weekend appointments. Starting salary is £39,923 with progression to £51,396.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/5 or above.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and field work.
• Basic IT skills with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer experience through quotation and delivery of connections works.
• Design cost-effective connection routes from site engagement data.
• Plan and coordinate with contractors to execute LV projects.
• Oversee service providers to meet schedule and budget.
• Deliver projects to required quality and safety standards.
• Provide timely updates on project status across workstreams.
• Attend evening/weekend customer appointments when required.
