Job summary

Wernick Power Solutions in Aldridge is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to ensure the operational functionality and safe servicing of generators and related equipment. You will perform inspections, testing, breakdown repairs, installation and commissioning, with a focus on safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.

A strong hands-on mechanical or electrical background with generator engines is essential, along with a full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical or electrical expertise relevant to power generation equipment.
• Hands-on generator engine experience essential.
• C&G, NVQ or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline.
• Clean driving license; travel will be essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections and servicing of generators and related equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, perform repairs, install and commission tasks.
• Maintain depot/worksite safety and report unsafe practices.
• Keep accurate job records, timesheets, PDIs and damage assessments.
• Provide excellent customer service and build client relationships.
