Job summary

Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Generator Engineer to join a long-established specialist engineering business covering the Midlands. You will service, maintain, fault find and install generators and control systems at customer sites.

The role suits an electrically biased engineer with strong mechanical knowledge, with 18th Edition qualification and CSCS/ECS card, plus a full UK driving licence. You will work independently while delivering a professional service.

Qualifications

• Experience as Generator Engineer or similar role.
• Electrical bias with strong mechanical knowledge.
• 18th Edition electrical qualification required.
• CSCS or ECS card and UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service and planned maintenance on generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical generator faults.
• Install generators at customer premises.
• Service generator control systems and diagnose faults on control panels and switchgear.
• Perform portable load bank testing and ensure safe operation.
