Job summary

Power Electrics is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join its Technical Support Team across the UK depot network and customer sites. You will diagnose faults, commission, repair and upgrade rental equipment, including Stage V generators, while mentoring engineers and supporting major projects.

Holding relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications or completing an apprenticeship with electrical bias is essential, along with a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Or completed approved apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Electrical bias preferred).
• Experience servicing and repairing generator sets (FG Wilson, Cummins, etc) is essential.
• Strong fault-finding abilities and good communication.
• Field Service/Technical experience is advantageous.
• Full Driving Licence is essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• DBS checks may be required; eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Power Electrics depots and customers.
• Diagnose and resolve generator and electrical faults.
• Carry out commissioning, repairs, upgrades and modifications to rental equipment (Stage V).
• Attend customer sites for technical support, commissioning and site surveys.
• Support technical training and mentoring to engineers and customers.
• Support major projects, product introductions and technical investigations.
• Work from depots when not attending customer sites.
• Comply with Company Health & Safety policies.
