Job summary

The Institute of Cancer Research invites applications for a highly motivated post-doctoral training fellow to contribute to online adaptive radiotherapy (RT) on advanced platforms at the Royal Marsden Hospital.

Under Professor Uwe Oelfke, the successful candidate will develop real-time dynamic plan refinement and QA strategies for MR-guided RT, collaborating with computer scientists, physicists and clinicians in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Engineering or related field with radiotherapy physics experience.
• Experience in optimisation algorithms and MR-guided RT is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop a framework for dynamic plan refinement in real-time for MR-guided RT.
• Accelerate automated, on-line adaptive treatment planning.
• Devise QA strategies for real-time adapted RT.
