The Institute of Cancer Research invites applications for a highly motivated post-doctoral training fellow to contribute to online adaptive radiotherapy (RT) on advanced platforms at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
Under Professor Uwe Oelfke, the successful candidate will develop real-time dynamic plan refinement and QA strategies for MR-guided RT, collaborating with computer scientists, physicists and clinicians in a multidisciplinary setting.
Under the guidance of Professor Uwe Oelfke, we are seeking a highly motivated and creative post-doctoral training fellow who is focused on a career in research to contribute to the development and clinical implementation of online adaptive RT on advanced treatment platforms (MR-Linac, C-arm linac and gantry-based treatment units) at the Royal Marsden Hospital (RMH). The successful candidate will develop a framework for dynamic plan refinement in real-time for MR-guided RT, acceleration of automated, on-line adaptive treatment planning and devise strategies for quality assurance (QA) of real-time adapted RT. The final aim of this research is to demonstrate benefit of this cutting-edge technology for patients in collaboration with clinicians and industrial partners. The projected research is part of a larger program of work funded by a Cancer Research UK (CRUK) program grant and the successful candidate will drive the work forward within a multi-disciplinary team of computer scientists, medical physicists and clinicians in the Joint Department of Physics at the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
