Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie at Upton Delivery Office in Wirral. This fixed-term 6-month contract offers a 30-hour week, typically 10:00–17:00 across five days with some weekend work, delivering letters and parcels to local areas.

You will drive a Royal Mail van, walk routes, build customer relationships, and work outdoors in all weathers. A UK manual licence is required and a driving assessment will be needed.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift mailbags.

Job type: Fixed Term contract 6 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 10:00/17:00*

You'll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work one in three Sundays at Upton Delivery Office working between 10:00/16:00.
