Job summary

Royal Mail in Dingwall is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9-month contract. The role delivers letters and parcels with a 30-hour week across Monday to Saturday, 09:30–15:30, and pays £13.68 per hour with overtime. Training, a uniform, and the iconic red van are provided.

You will drive a Royal Mail van daily, walk long distances, work in all weather, and build strong relationships with customers while staying active and independent.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
