Job summary

Royal Mail in Okehampton is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, including Sundays as required, with a rotating shift across 07:24 to 15:30 and 10:30–17:00 on Sundays.

Training is provided, and days are outdoors delivering letters and parcels in the local area. Expect a physically demanding yet rewarding role with an iconic red van and full uniform supplied.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift 10kg+ mailbags

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
