Job summary

Pertemps is hiring Multi-Drop Postal Delivery Drivers to join the team in Newbury on a temporary basis. You'll start at the local delivery office, sort and load your vehicle, then hit the routes delivering letters and parcels by foot and by vehicle.

Shifts are 13:00–19:00 with 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and some weekend availability. You must be comfortable outdoors in all weather and have a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• UK manual driving licence required (max 6 points; clean preferred).
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Previous driving/delivery experience is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and sort mail at the delivery office and prepare your vehicle.
• Deliver letters and parcels on foot and by vehicle, walking up to 8 miles daily.
• Operate a handheld scanner for route navigation and signature capture.
• Lift mailbags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg using trolleys when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Load & Go: Start your day at the local delivery office sorting and loading your vehicle.
• On the Move: Deliver letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, walking up to 8 miles a day.
• Tech-Savvy Delivery: Use a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures.
• Hands-On Work: Lift and carry mailbags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg), using delivery trolleys when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• A full UK manual driving licence (maximum of 6 points; clean preferred).
• Comfortable working outdoors through rain, shine, or snow.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Previous Driving/ Delivering experience would great (but isn’t essential!)
