Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is currently recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers in Basingstoke for Parcelforce. This role suits self-motivated individuals who enjoy outdoor work and delivering excellent customer service.

You will start at the local delivery office, sort loads, and deliver by vehicle or on foot, walking up to 8 miles daily. A full UK manual driving licence (up to 6 penalty points) is required, and the role involves weather exposure and physical lifting.

Pay Rate: £15.06 per hour

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, including weekend flexibility

• Distribution: Deliver mail and parcels both by vehicle and on foot. This physical role involves walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Operations: Utilise a company handheld device for navigating routes and capturing customer signatures.
• Manual Handling: Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Licence: Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Resilience: Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
• Skills: Exceptional time management capabilities alongside a customer-first mindset.
• Experience: Prior delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
