Job summary

Pertemps is currently recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers on behalf of Royal Mail. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy independent outdoor work and have a strong passion for customer service.

Core responsibilities include starting shifts at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries, delivering mail and parcels by vehicle and on foot, using a handheld device for routes and signatures, and lifting bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong time management and a customer-first mindset.
• Delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Begin shifts at the local delivery office to sort and load daily deliveries.
• Deliver mail and parcels by vehicle and on foot; walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Utilise a company handheld device for routes and customer signatures.
• Safely lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg with trolleys as needed.

Position: Postal Delivery Driver

Employment Type: Temporary, Up to 30 hours per week

Location: Dudley

Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, including weekend flexibility

Shifts: 8:30am - 7pm

• Manual Handling: Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Licence: Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Resilience: Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
• Skills: Exceptional time management capabilities alongside a customer-first mindset.
• Experience: Prior delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
