Job summary

XPS Group in Manchester is expanding its Risk Settlement team and seeks ambitious Senior Consultants with a DB pensions background to lead post-transaction work including buy-in, buyout and wind-up projects. The role focuses on training, strong stakeholder management, and delivering high-quality client updates in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive DB pensions experience.
• Knowledge of buy-in, buyout and wind-up processes.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Flexible and resilient under work pressures.
• Experience in project-based work is desirable.
• MS Project proficiency.
• Advanced MS Excel capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and project manage buy-in, buyout and wind-up projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate across all workstreams to ensure deliverables.
• Liaise with Trustees, Sponsors and advisory teams.
• Build relationships with insurers, independent trustees, and law firms.
• Contribute to new business via tenders and presentations.
• Prepare clear client updates and reports.
• Flexibly undertake other activities as needed.
