Job summary

XPS Group, based in Birmingham, is seeking a Senior Consultant for the Risk Settlement team to lead buy‑in, buyout and wind‑up projects. You will coordinate stakeholders and oversee post‑transaction activities, ensuring timely, high‑quality client delivery.

The role targets individuals with DB pensions expertise, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while developing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in DB pensions with a strong technical background.
• Knowledge of buy‑in, buyout and wind‑up processes and how workstreams interact.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage dependencies.
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills across levels.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and project manage buy‑in, buyout and wind‑up projects within timelines and budget.
• Coordinate across multiple workstreams to ensure deliverables.
• Liaise with Trustees, Sponsors and advisory teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers, independent trustees and legal firms.
• Contribute to new business opportunities including tenders and presentations.
• Prepare and deliver clear client updates and reports.
