Job summary

XPS Group in Reading is seeking an Assistant Post-Transaction Lead (Pensions) to join the Risk Settlement team. The role supports Project Leads through buy-in, buyout and wind-up activities within a hybrid, permanent, full-time framework.

Ideal candidates have Defined Benefit pension experience, strong organisation and stakeholder skills, and the ability to manage documentation and governance requirements. The role offers growth in a dynamic pensions environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Defined Benefit Pension schemes is essential.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills are required.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proven ability to create and manage project documentation.
• Proactive and detail‑oriented with deadlines and quality service in mind.

Responsibilities

• Support Post-Transaction Project Leads in overseeing activities from buy-in to wind-up.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining project documentation (PID, Project Plans, Highlight Reports, Risk & Issue Logs).
• Provide tailored advice on funding and member options.
• Analyse legislation and guidance for client impact.
• Govern governance of pension schemes to benefit members.
• Produce management reporting and timely updates to stakeholders.
