Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Aftercare Manager for a Berkshire-based role with a leading blue-chip contractor. You will own post-completion processes, manage defects and ensure smooth handovers.

In this position you will coordinate clients, subcontractors and site teams, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and client satisfaction. A strong background in construction management is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Aftercare, Defects, Customer Care or Construction Management role.
• Strong knowledge of the construction process and building defects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and senior stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple projects/issues and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Managing the aftercare and defects process from practical completion through to final resolution.
• Coordinating subcontractors, site teams, consultants and clients to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
• Carrying out regular inspections and monitoring outstanding defects.
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting on aftercare performance.
• Building strong relationships with clients and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Working closely with the wider project and commercial teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction into aftercare.
• Ensuring health, safety, quality and company procedures are maintained throughout the process.
