Be part of a caring company and make a real difference to peoples lives.
Melksham, Wiltshire

(with travel across our services)

£40,000 - £45,000 DOE & Q
40 hours per week

At Autonomy Care Group, we’ve spent over 20 years supporting adults, children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs across Wiltshire, Somerset, and Worcestershire.

We believe that every person we support deserves to live a life of dignity, belonging and choice — and that starts with the right support at the right time. We're now looking for a PBS Manager to help us embed meaningful and compassionate practice, co-produce robust PBS plans, and build the capability of our teams.

This is more than a training role — it’s about shaping culture, influencing practice, and supporting colleagues to grow in confidence, curiosity and care.

About the Role

As our PBS Manager, you’ll lead the development, delivery and evaluation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and mandatory training across our services. You’ll support service transitions, offer guidance during times of crisis, and provide expert guidance across the group.
You’ll also:

  • Support functional assessments and risk planning
  • Co-produce PBS strategies alongside individuals, families and teams
  • Create and evaluate tools and templates that improve care quality
  • Champion trauma-informed and restorative approaches to care
  • Build a learning culture through reflective team practice and data-informed reviews

This is a mobile role, so you’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

What We Offer
  • 6 weeks annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Private Medical Assurance, Income Protection and Life Assurance (T’s & C’s apply)
  • Long service awards and recognition
  • 24/7 confidential employee support line
  • Mental Health First Aiders across our teams
  • Commitment to your professional development, including CPD and specialist training
  • A values-driven, inclusive culture with a deep belief in people’s potential
About You

You’ll be someone who brings both expertise and empathy to your practice. You're passionate about enabling independence, and you know how to empower others to do the same.

You’ll need to demonstrate:

  • A postgraduate qualification in PBS or ABA
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PTLLS or Level 3 in Education and Training)
  • At least 5 years' post-registration experience
  • A strong understanding of risk, capacity, and safeguarding
  • Experience in training delivery, team supervision and care plan development
  • A trauma-informed approach (desirable)
  • We’re particularly interested in applicants with professional qualifications in LD Nursing, Social Work, Therapies, or Allied Health, and those who have regulated registration (e.g. NMC, HCPC).

We’re Looking for People Who Are...

  • Compassionate and person-centred
  • Collaborative, reflective and curious
  • Committed to human rights, inclusion and co-production
  • Skilled at turning complexity into clarity
