Job summary

PBS4 is seeking an Assistant Enablement Manager to join our Dorset team. The role involves coaching and mentoring Enablement Practitioners, covering shifts including nights and sleep-ins, and supporting on-call duties to ensure high quality care. You will work across the local area with a focus on person-centred planning and collaborative teamwork.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a proactive, resilient mindset to help individuals achieve their best life in their own homes.

Hours per week: 42 hours per week - (6 hours of admin per week & 36 on shift)

Salary: £18.09 per hour and sleep‑ins paid @ £60 per sleep

About the role

We are looking for a passionate,resilient, and highly experienced Assistant Enablement Manager to join our team In Dorset.

The Assistant Enablement Manager will:

Work on rota directly supporting the people we support as well as provide coaching and mentoring to our teams of Enablement Practitioners. This will include working across all shift patterns including days, nights, evenings, weekends, sleep‑ins and being on‑call. Work off rota ensuring our quality assurance processes are met, and upskilling the teams, completing supervisions, probations and appraisals, debriefs and welfare checks, delivering training, reviewing paperwork, supporting with transitions, providing a buddy system to other management teams, and generally supporting the Manager to effectively manage the teams in that geographical area. This split of time is flexible and will be dependent on the needs of the people we support. You’ll act as a role model and mentor to the team and facilitate the use of collaborative working and creative solutions to enable both them and the people we support to achieve individual goals and develop. Working in partnership with the people we support, their family, our specialist support teams and external agencies you’ll champion interactions, person‑centred planning and implement support plans that improve the quality of everyday life for those we support.

* The person you will be supporting is living in their own home in Bournemouth, Dorset, and is supported on a 3 to 1 support ratio.

They have adiagnosis of schizophrenia, autism, and generalised anxiety disorder.

They are looking for team members who enjoy being outside and taking part in different activities like walking, swimming, andbadminton.

It is essential that team member have a real interest & love of animals as they have a Dog, parrot, and pet rat.

When upset, they need individuals supporting them who can balance their own emotions and help them to regulate theirs. They need support navigating social situations/conversations as don't always understand sarcasm or if they are being rude .

When inside, they have real interest in arts and crafts and would like people who are naturally creative to support them and be part of their team.

They are looking for resilient, fun, outgoing experienced team members that want to enable them to live their best life.
