Job summary

Certitude is seeking an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Specialist Support Team. You will design, implement and embed PBS approaches, deliver person-centred assessments and support individuals with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.

The role is hybrid with Head Office in Balham or Ealing, offering a salary of £37,133 per annum, 37.5 hours per week, and a range of benefits including 25 days' leave, pension, DBS, eye care, and salary sacrifice

Qualifications

  • Formal PBS qualification required.
  • Experience with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
  • Experience conducting functional behaviour assessments.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform behaviour support planning.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with individuals and families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and analyze data to develop PBS strategies.
  • Support individuals at risk of exclusion or hospital admission with tailored support.
  • Ensure assessments reflect risks and needs in a person-centred way.
  • Help deliver systems monitoring progress and outcomes.
  • Deliver training and coaching to build PBS capacity within the team.
  • Work in partnership with individuals, families and professionals.

About You

To be a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Certitude, the following are essential:

  • Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or related discipline.
  • Sound understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
  • Proven experience conducting functional behaviour assessments and implementing PBS strategies.
  • Competence in data analysis to inform behaviour support planning and monitor quality-of-life outcomes.
  • Ability to build and maintain respectful, trust-based relationships with individuals and families.
