Job description

Are you someone who naturally builds trust with children? Do you stay calm under pressure, bring positive energy wherever you go and want a role that genuinely changes lives?

Protocol Education is working with welcoming primary schools across Bristol looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Positive Behaviour Facilitators to join them from September.

This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll become a trusted adult for children who need extra encouragement, helping them overcome challenges, celebrate successes and develop the confidence they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

You don't need years of SEN experience to be successful. What schools are really looking for is someone who is patient, resilient, empathetic and committed to supporting young people. We've seen people from youth work, sports coaching, care, retail, hospitality, psychology, drama, sociology and customer-facing backgrounds excel in these positions.

If you're passionate about helping children succeed and want a rewarding career where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils who need additional guidance
  • Building positive relationships that help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn
  • Supporting pupils who may experience challenges related to SEMH, ASD, ADHD or other additional needs
  • Working alongside class teachers to adapt activities and encourage engagement
  • Promoting positive behaviour through encouragement, consistency and praise
  • Helping pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence and resilience
  • Acting as a positive role model throughout the school day
