Job summary

Mitie is seeking Security Officers (Male and Female) for the Port of Southampton. The role protects port facilities and assets in line with ISPS and site instructions, with a 12-hour shift pattern (4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights).

You will perform gate duties, searches, pass issuing, patrols, and incident response, with full training provided. PPE is supplied and work is on-site at the port.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence is required.
• Full Driving Licence (Manual or Automatic) is required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights).

Responsibilities

• Gate house duties and operating gates/barriers.
• Search of persons, vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Issue passes and check documentation.
• Patrol restricted areas under supervision.
• Complete paperwork as required and incident reporting.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as directed.
• Ensure the port and facilities remain secure at all times.
• Full training will be provided; PPE supplied.
