Mitie is recruiting Security Officers to protect the Port of Southampton under ISPS guidelines. We welcome male and female applicants and require a valid SIA licence and a full driving licence. Shifts operate on a 4 days on, 4 off, then 4 nights pattern, with PPE provided.

You will patrol restricted areas, operate gate houses, issue passes, and respond to incidents, with full training provided. The role involves working outside in all weather, and opportunity to progress via site-specific

Competenze

• Valid SIA Licence.
• Full Driving Licence (manual or automatic).
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 days-on/4 off/4 nights pattern.

Mansioni

• Gate house duties including operating gates and barriers.
• Searching of persons, vehicles and plant machinery as required.

-Do you want to work at the Port of Southampton? We are Looking for Female and Male officers to join our team here at Mitie DP World, to ensure our client's property, people or Assets are protected at all times as per the ISPS code and in direct accordance with the sites Published Assignment instructions. The port is operational every day of the year.

To apply you must have:

• -Valid SIA License
• -Must hold a full Driving License Manual or Automatic
• -Must be able to work shifts current shift pattern is 4 Days and then 4 off then 4 Nights for core officers

Job Overview

• -To protect the port facilities restricted areas in compliance with the ISPS code.
• -To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's)
• -To be alert and responsive at all times to ensure the port and its facilities are protected at all times
• -Keen eye for detail and spotting things out of the ordinary

Main Duties

• -Gate house duties including operating gates and barriers to allow access/egress.
• -Searching of persons, vehicles and plant machinery as required
• -Pass issuing/checking.
• -Patrolling the restricted areas as required by the supervisory team.
• -Completing paperwork as required
• -Responding to incidents as directed by the supervisory and management team.
• -Ensuring the port is kept secure at all times
• -Full training in the role will be provided
• -Other duties as required

Training

• -Full training to undertake your role will be provided.
• -Additional training is available for other site-specific roles, including Site first Aider, 3ic and 2ic
• -We also offer the opportunity to enhance your skill set by completing an Apprenticeship in security.

Security and Health & Safety

• -Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
• -To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
• -Opportunity to become a Live safe champion.
