Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking enthusiastic, reliable security professionals for roles at the Port in Liverpool. You will provide a professional security presence, conduct vehicle and personnel searches, and verify access credentials. Full training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed.

Candidates must hold a valid SIA licence, be 18+, and able to provide a 5-year history. ISPS course induction is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
• Age requirement of 18+ for front-line licensable activity.
• Ability to provide a 5-year checkable work and address history.
• Willingness to complete ISPS Code Course during induction.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, visible, proactive security presence across the port.
• Conduct vehicle, cab, trailer and personnel searches as required.
• Verify passes, permits, and identifications to ensure authorised access.
• Control access and egress points, ensuring entry/exit of people and vehicles.
• Carry out security patrols in operational areas with moving equipment and vessels.
• Monitor for security breaches and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Port Police, Border Force and other stakeholders.
