Deliver comprehensive policy launch pieces or cross-functional work products that are integrated into overarching projects, creating meaningful impact in policy work with minimal assistance.

Design, execute, and advocate for policy and standards frameworks. Engage with cross-functional partners to promote trust and mitigate risks for our client. Assess emerging issues, own at least one workflow or project area, and evaluate the impact of local law updates and active litigation. Plan and execute most prioritized project work independently, leveraging team support as needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Independently identify and recommend creative solutions to evolving policy problems.
• Address escalated issues or triage as required promptly.
• Deconstruct complex problems, frame policy issues, and contextualize solutions for management and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies for ambiguous problems.
• Collaborate within teams to communicate knowledge across tasks.
• Identify key stakeholders and build networks for cross-team collaboration and success.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
• Begin to demonstrate thought leadership by engaging with external partners on policy and innovative approaches.
• Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for project components.
• Collaborate with technical and vendor teams to support policy launch and implementation.
• Understand implications of policy and process changes on systems, enforcement, and operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policy development and implementation.
• Ensure policies are operationally feasible and adoptable by enforcement teams.
• Manage and implement global product policies with regional focus, considering local culture and community standards.
• Work with stakeholders and vendors to develop and implement product policies for various products.
• Participate in investigations and respond to external inquiries and real-world investigations.
• Identify and analyze policy issues affecting the client, assessing their impact on business and users.
• Resolve cross-product, high-impact policy escalations with minimal guidance.

Skills & Experience:

• Excellent communication skills in both written and oral formats.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and contexts.
• Knowledge of online, international, multilingual communities.
• Understanding of how to handle disruptive and unexpected events.
• Proficiency in a foreign language (e.g., German, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian).
• Fundamentals of policies and familiarity with the product platform.
• Understanding of internet policies, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with internet technologies, policy, and regulatory environments, especially content moderation and online safety.
• Proficiency in French and English.
