Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a PMRT Midwife (Cross-Site) to lead the Perinatal Mortality Review Tool process across the maternity services. The role partners with the Governance and Safety Team and Bereavement Midwives to ensure compassionate, family-informed reviews and to embed learning into practice.

The post involves chairing PMRT meetings, coordinating reviews, and developing pathways to reduce perinatal mortality in line with national guidance.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with current registration and ongoing professional development.
• Evidence of degree or masters qualification is required.
• Experience caring for families experiencing pregnancy loss and bereavement care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all elements of the PMRT review process within the maternity service.
• Chair multidisciplinary PMRT meetings and ensure stakeholders attend.
• Identify cases and ensure notifications to MBRRACE; enable family voice to inform review.
• Translate learning from PMRT reviews into measurable improvements in care.
