Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Midwife on a 12-month secondment, 0.2 WTE to support maternity services and contribute to the on-call roster. The post holder will work as the Perinatal Mortality and Safety Coordinator Midwife within the Maternity Directorate to promote staff and patient safety and to coordinate PMR investigations.

They will support the maternity governance team, deputise for safety midwives as needed, and ensure PMR processes align with CNST

Responsibilities

• Coordinate perinatal mortality reviews using the PMRT tool.
• Liaise with the Patient Safety Midwives and maternity governance team.
• Support Bereavement Midwives to ensure PMR deaths are reported to MBBRACE.
• Undertake rapid safety reviews of perinatal deaths with a senior clinician.
