Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced specialist in maternity governance to lead the Perinatal Mortality Review Tool (PMRT) process across our maternity services in Bedfordshire. The post collaborates with the Governance and Safety Team and Bereavement Midwives to ensure compassionate, family-informed reviews and embed learning in clinical practice.

Qualificações

• Experience in perinatal mortality reviews or PMRT preferred
• Strong communication and bereavement care skills
• Ability to chair meetings and coordinate across teams

Responsabilidades

• Lead role coordinating PMRT review process within the maternity service
• Ensure reviews are completed within expected timeframes and align with PSIRF
• Chair multidisciplinary PMRT meetings with stakeholders
• Work with Bereavement Midwives to identify cases and notify MBRRACE
• Support family discussions and follow-up through meetings or written correspondence
• Meet with bereaved families to share findings with compassion
• Undertake detailed assessments of clinical care leading to perinatal loss and assess alignment with guidelines
• Facilitate open, respectful case discussions to identify learning
