Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a PMRT Midwife (Cross-Site) to lead and coordinate the Perinatal Mortality Review Tool process across maternity services at Bedfordshire Hospital Trust. You will collaborate with the Governance and Safety Team and Bereavement Midwives to ensure compassionate, coordinated reviews of perinatal deaths and embed learning into practice.

Qualifications

Must be a practising midwife with knowledge of bereavement care, risk management and perinatal mortality.
Experience leading PMRT reviews and coordinating multidisciplinary meetings is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all PMRT review elements within the maternity service.
Ensure reviews are completed within timeframes and align with the PSIRF.
Chair multidisciplinary PMRT meetings with key stakeholders.
Collaborate with Bereavement Midwives to notify MBRRACE and incorporate family voices.
Support family discussions and provide follow-up through meetings or written correspondence.
Assess clinical care leading up to perinatal loss and judge alignment with guidelines.
Translate PMRT learning into improved clinical pathways and education.
