Job summary

National Grid is seeking a PMO Performance Analyst to join our Asset Operations team. The role supports portfolio governance, controls and insightful reporting across a capital portfolio, using Power BI to turn data into actionable insights.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects deliver on time, cost and quality, while driving continuous improvement and effective governance across cost, risk, schedule and change.

Qualifications

• Experience in a PMO, project controls, portfolio reporting, governance or performance analysis within a complex delivery environment.
• Experience supporting capital projects, programmes or portfolios with governance controls and assurance processes.
• Understanding of project performance measures across cost, risk, schedule and change with the ability to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and ongoing improvement of PMO governance with accurate information and portfolio reporting.
• Monitor performance against baselines and highlight exceptions, dependencies and emerging issues.
• Develop and maintain performance frameworks, metrics and KPIs linking strategy to outcomes.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and visualisations from trusted data for data-driven decisions.
• Clarify reporting needs with stakeholders and develop effective reporting and control solutions.
• Analyse trends and risks to present actionable recommendations to PMO and stakeholders.
• Support cost management including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and governance.
• Maintain portfolio information and track milestones, dependencies and priorities.
• Ensure data quality across cost, schedule and risk and support reviews and actions.
