Job summary

The Deputy Operational Support Manager role sits within the Digital Services PMO at the Office for National Statistics, responsible for governance and reporting of DS delivery and BAU activity. You will lead a small team delivering monthly MI, dependency management and benefits realisation, working with project leads to enable accurate internal and external reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and support teams to achieve performance targets and objectives.
• Experience in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovating to enhance services and processes.
• Strong analytical skills with experience presenting data, dashboards and insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collate and produce management information and monitor value.
• Coordinate and support Operational Continuity plans and business rhythm documentation.
• Manage agenda coordination, meeting schedules and notes, actions and monitoring.
• Record and manage operational delivery risks.
• Build and maintain relationships across forums to support colleagues.
• Manage inboxes and SharePoint site housekeeping.
• Develop subject matter expertise of ONS systems and data changes.
• Collaborate with teams to enable system changes and improvements.
• Seek opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and systems.
• Provide monthly MI and metrics to support performance review.
• Develop and manage escalation processes to resolve issues.
