Job summary

Leidos are seeking a PMO Lead to drive delivery excellence on a complex aviation programme from Whiteley, Hampshire. The role requires SC clearance and hybrid working with a cross-functional team of Project Managers.

You will govern, plan, report, manage risk and change control while supporting financial, schedule and performance activities. You will build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure governance frameworks are fit for purpose, aligning with contractual requirements and customer

Qualifications

• Experience leading PMO activities within complex programmes or projects.
• Strong understanding of governance, planning, reporting, risk management, and change control.
• Experience working in complex delivery environments with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and priorities.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing or developing project teams.
• Commercial awareness and contracts awareness.
• Excellent organisational skills and a structured problem-solving approach.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across levels.
• Experience using PMO tools, methodologies and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the PMO function, ensuring governance, planning, reporting, risk management, change control and delivery oversight.
• Manage, coach, and support a team of Project Managers across multiple work packages.
• Maintain high-quality programme reporting, dashboards, and insights for decision-making.
• Ensure programme controls, processes, and governance frameworks meet customer and contract requirements.
• Support financial, schedule, and performance management activities across the programme.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal teams.
• Drive data quality and continuous improvement across delivery practices.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing environment.
