Job summary

Leidos in Whiteley, Hampshire, seeks a PMO Lead to drive delivery excellence in a complex aviation programme. You will lead the PMO, govern delivery, manage risk, and report performance to programme leadership, customers, and partners.

You will coach project managers, build governance frameworks, and ensure alignment with contractual objectives while delivering across multiple workstreams. Hybrid role with SC clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading PMO in complex programmes or projects.
• Strong governance, planning, reporting, risk management, and change control.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and priorities.
• Proven leadership: mentoring, coaching, or developing project teams.
• Commercial awareness and ability to operate within contractual frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the PMO function with governance, planning, reporting, risk management, change control, and delivery oversight.
• Coach and support a team of Project Managers delivering across multiple work packages.
• Maintain high-quality programme reporting, dashboards, and insights for decision-making.
• Ensure programme controls and governance frameworks align with customer and contractual requirements.
• Support financial, schedule, and performance management across the programme.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal teams.
• Drive data quality and continuous improvement across delivery practices.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing environment for the team.
