Job summary

Northern Powergrid Limited is seeking a proactive PMO Coordinator to join the Digital Delivery team. You will coordinate governance, maintain project records and support reporting across the portfolio, while embracing AI and automation to improve data quality and reduce manual effort.

The role requires strong Microsoft 365 capability, attention to detail and stakeholder collaboration. Location is Riverside House with a competitive salary and performance bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience organising and prioritising multiple activities, meeting deadlines and following actions through to completion.
• Experience working with data or records, checking accuracy, identifying gaps and maintaining good‑quality information.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a range of colleagues and stakeholders.
• Good numerical and analytical capability, including confidence with financial or performance information.
• Evidence of learning new systems or processes quickly and applying that learning in practice.
• A good level of numeracy, literacy and digital capability.
• A relevant qualification in business administration, IT, finance, project management or related discipline.
• APM Project Fundamentals, PRINCE2 Foundation, AgilePM Foundation or equivalent introductory project qualification.
• Experience in a PMO, project, programme, portfolio, business administration or coordination role.
• Experience supporting IT, digital, infrastructure or business-change activity.
• Experience of ServiceNow SPM or another project portfolio management platform.
• Experience using Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, Power BI or other automation and reporting tools.
• Experience with project financial administration, such as purchase orders, invoices, accruals, forecasts or budget tracking.
• Understanding of project governance and structured, Agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Experience in a utility, infrastructure or regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project and programme governance meetings, schedules, agendas, papers, decisions and actions.
• Support governance gateways, assurance reviews and approval processes.
• Maintain auditable evidence of decisions, approvals and actions.
• Monitor compliance with project standards, processes and controls and help teams address gaps.
