Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Sunderland. You will support students with complex learning, communication, and physical needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis, fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:45pm, full-time. DBS checks, safeguarding training, and compliance with DfE guidance are required, with paid statutory holiday.

• Experience in SEND, care or support is welcomed.
• DBS check and safeguarding training required.
• Flexibility to work in a specialist provision.

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic PMLD Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of complex learning, communication, and physical needs within a specialist provision in Sunderland.

The Role

• Assisting with personal care and mobility when required
• Working closely with teachers and therapists

• Previous SEND, care, or support experience is welcomed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
