Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Morpeth, supporting pupils with complex needs. This full-time, term-time role offers daily pay of £98–£120 and starts as soon as available.

The ideal candidate will provide 1:1 support, assist during lessons, and help pupils develop communication, independence and mobility while safeguarding pupil wellbeing.

Protocol Education is recruiting a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Morpeth, supporting pupils with a range of complex learning, physical, sensory and communication needs.

Your Day Could Include:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support
• Supporting pupils during lessons
• Encouraging communication and interaction
• Supporting sensory exploration
• Helping pupils develop independence
• Supporting mobility and physical activities
• Providing personal care where required
• Using individual communication strategies
• Supporting emotional wellbeing
